This project was one of those where you just say wow. The frame was rotten to the core, the exterior walls were not attached to the foundation and the hodge podge piecemeal that was the inside of the home was something we had only seen once before. So we gutted everything and saved only what we could on the exterior walls. We had to jack the house up and replace nearly all of the sills and then we decided to really for it and we are lowered the basement and ripped out one entire corner of the field stone foundation to add an exterior basement entrance simply so that we could have amazing interior floor plans without the need to also have basement access (which takes up a lot of very valuable interior space. We vaulted the ceilings on the second floor (which is not an easy task when you have to reframe a 200 year old roof and not destroy the integrity). Our custom Joppa Group trim and Cabico kitchens and this will be one to see!
33-35 Bromfield was built in the mid 1800s. This is a grand home with high ceilings on the first floor big windows and a beautiful period design. The basement wasnt suited for use so we brought in a triple conveyor system and dug it out to raise the ceiling heights- always a lot of work but worth the effort and we are experts at this! We are carefully renovating each unit and taking very special care to retain and restore the original center stair- this is a labor of love but always worth it when you can save and bring forward original period details. These units will receive some of our finest trim work with shiplap and planking throughout and multistep crown moldings. Wait until we finish bringing this home back to life for the next 100 years!
Built in the early to mid 1700s, 19 Marlboro Street is being completely renovated and restored from the ground up. As with many building built in the 1700s, this one needed the entire frame reconstructed from the top down, ground up and inside out. 3 distinct units ranging from 1300 sqft to 1800 sqft. Unit 1 is a full first floor unit with 3 bed 2 bath while the second floor unit was all about the high ceilings where we pushed the ceiling up into the attic and the rear unit was focused more on private living in a condo setting with a large private yard. Our years of experience were all needed to transform this one to last the next 100 years!

Built in 1690! Big beams! Hand hewn! There is speculation that the frame was made in Europe and sent over the the colonies. The history is amazing in this one. We rebuilt this home from the foundation up and filled it with every modern want and blended the 300+ year old floors with Caribbean heart pine. We bought this home because of its location and the size of the yard as well as a chance to put our hands on a 300+ year old home. What an honor for us.
This project is special to us because this home has been in the family for over 30 years. We renovated this one with personal care and immense pride. Fully renovated 1 bed 1 bath 840 sqft completely first floor living. Delicately updated every feature to include a beautifully modern kitchen, washed in Dove Grey mosaic backsplash, Cashmere Quartz counters, LG Appliances and a blend of new and original wood flooring.
This project was extremely challenging due to tight site logistics and the addition at the rear. 26 Charles was built in the early to mid 1800s and when we purchased the home it was in need of everything. We reframed nearly the entire house from the ground up and then poured 1000s of hours of labor into bringing her back to absolute perfection. The new owners of these units are amazing people and we are so happy they saw all the attention to detail we put into this project.
